The information in this policy applies to users of our mobile application ("users", "you").

The following document outlines our "Privacy Policy" which governs our use of Personal Data (as defined below) that you submit through your use of our Service and App (as defined below). This includes information that identifies you or could be used to identify you or otherwise qualifies as Personal Data under the GDPR or any similarly defined term under any other applicable regulation ("Personal Data"). 2. What data do we collect about you, and under what circumstances do we collect it?

Most information is collected in the course of your use of the Service. In particular, your data is collected in the following circumstances:

  1. Stoic Nature does not intend to collect the following data about you: Information about your health, genetic, religious, ethnic, trade union membership, genetic and biometric data, sexual orientation, or sex life. Any data concerning these characteristics included in your log entries are encrypted and will not be read by Stoic Nature.

  2. Please note that Stoic Nature may feature public forums that allow you and other users to share information and support each other. Our forums are open to the public and should not be considered private. Any information (including personal information) that you share in an online forum is, by definition, publicly available and not private. Please think carefully before posting personal information in a public forum. The information you post may be seen, disclosed, or collected by others and may be used by others in ways that we cannot control or predict, including contacting you for unauthorized purposes. As with any public online forum, the information you post may also appear in third-party search engines. If you mistakenly post personal information in our public forums and wish to have it removed, please send your request below and email us to request that it be removed at support@stoicnature.com.

  3. Furthermore, our Service may include features for interaction with social networks that may involve the exchange of data between us and those social networks. When using these features from our Service, these networks may collect your IP address and information about the sites you visit and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. These features may be hosted on our Service or by a third party. We, therefore, invite you to consult the personal data management policies of the various social networks to learn about the collection and processing of your data by them.

  4. We are aware that there are many circumstances in which we may collect your information, and we strive to ensure that you are always informed of when your personal data is being collected.

3. Where is your data collected and stored?

  1. Stoic Nature is based in the United States and complies with the data protection legislation in the USA. Your personal information may be accessible to Stoic Nature employees in the United States, as well as to certain sellers and partners, throughout the world, including the United States.

  2. When we process data in countries that may not offer the same level of protection as your own country, Stoic Nature will implement reasonable and appropriate legal and security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of your data, including, but not limited to, maintaining the standard contractual clauses approved by data protection legislation in the USA.

4. Who do we share your personal data with?

1. In order to carry out Stoic Nature’s services, we may share your personal information with the following parties:

  • Our employees are located in the United States, for the needs of their tasks (development, customer service, etc.)

  • Agents, consultants, and other related third parties performing marketing, analysis, or hosting services

  • Third parties with whom we partner to improve our Service (e.g., by offering new features and/or branded content)

  • Payment Services Provider

  • The general public when, after asking for your consent, we publish testimonials and comments from users

  • When we have strong reason to believe that an individual may be engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity that government authority should know about ;

If you have any questions about the security of your personal data, or if you wish to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, withdrawal of consent, restriction of processing, objection to processing, or portability, or to give us instructions regarding the processing of your data after your death, we invite you to contact support@stoicnature.com.

Your rights may be subject to legal and regulatory restrictions. Depending on applicable laws and the nature of the request, you may be asked to provide certain additional information.

6. How do we ensure the security of your personal data?

  1. We are committed to protecting the security of your personal data. Stoic Nature uses appropriate technical measures to protect your personal information.

  2. Encryption of your entries. All journal entries on Stoic Nature are encrypted using AES with a 256 bits key. This means that no internal employee of Stoic Nature can read your journal entries. No entry of yours can ever be read nor distributed externally.

  3. Fraudulent access. If you suspect any improper use, loss, or unauthorized access to your personal information, you must notify us immediately at support@stoicnature.com.

7. How long do we keep your personal data?

Stoic Nature ensures that your personal data is kept for no longer than is necessary for the specific purposes for which it was collected. Your personal data may be retained for a longer period of time where applicable laws or regulations require or allow Stoic Nature to do so.

8. Do we collect data from minors?

Stoic Nature’s website and app are not intended or designed for children under the age of 15. We do not intentionally collect personal data from anyone under the age of 15.

9. Changes to our Privacy Policy

  1. We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes to our Privacy Policy, we will announce the updates within our Service: we will post the new Privacy Policy on the Website and the App with a new effective date to notify you of such changes and/or we will notify you by email or other notification as required by applicable law (the "Changes"). The Changes will apply to all current and former users of the Services as of their effective date and will supersede any prior policies. By accessing the Services on or after the effective date of the Changes, you are deemed to consent to the new privacy policy then in effect.

  2. Please check this Privacy Policy from time to time for changes, and especially before you provide any personal information. If the Changes to this Privacy Policy are not acceptable to you, you should discontinue using, accessing, or browsing the Service.
